How to use it

What it does
- Remove diacritics (fatha, damma, kasra, shadda…).
- Remove tatweel (ـ).
- Convert joined presentation forms back to normal letters, which is the usual problem with text copied from PDF.
- Unify alef and yaa forms and convert digits between Arabic-Indic and Western.
Limits you should know
Unifying alef and ta marbuta changes the spelling, so use it for searching and matching, not for publishing. Reversing text reverses the whole order of the characters.

Why does text copied from a PDF look broken?
PDFs store the drawn letter shapes. The “Convert presentation forms” option turns them back into normal letters.
